We are extremely pleased to announce that JKA World Federation Scotland are now members of the Scottish Karate Governing Body.
We would like to thank everyone involved for the work that they have put in to achieve this membership and especially to Paul Giandrea and Dusty Miller for all their help with the questions and queries.
This is a new chapter in the ongoing development and promotion of JKA WFS and we look forward to working with the board and further strengthening our karate relationship in Scotland.
This is a great opportunity for us and the members of JKA WFS and one that has been a long time coming but is finally here. This will open up new doors to access more tournaments for the members, qualifications for the instructors and coaches, increased promotion and all of the other benefits that the Board can offer.
Onwards and upwards!
Japan Karate Association.
At JKAWFS we practice karate as taught by the Japan Karate Association (JKA). JKA is the largest karate organisation in the world and the one with most authority – the Keeper of Karate's Highest Tradition. JKA was founded in 1949 and has members in over 100 countries worldwide. At the JKA karate is not just a sport. It is a martial art where the aim is to harmonise mind and body for balance, strength, perseverence, patience – for total confidence and self mastery.
